About this tool

Resize image changes image dimensions, with aspect ratio on by default and output in compatible formats.

How to use

  1. Select a PNG, JPG/JPEG or WebP image.
  2. Review original width, height, size and type.
  3. Change width, height or scale percentage.
  4. Keep aspect ratio enabled to avoid distortion, or disable it for exact dimensions.
  5. Choose output format and download the resized image.

Use cases

  • Reduce a large image before uploading it to a website.
  • Create an exact-size version for a post.
  • Scale a screenshot or photo by percentage.

Limits

  • Maximum: 8000 px per side and 64 megapixels per output.
  • Very large dimensions can consume more browser memory.
  • Upscaling a small image does not improve its quality.

Privacy

Processing happens in your browser — we don't upload your files.

Common errors

  • Empty, zero, negative or non-numeric values.
  • Dimensions too large to process reliably.
  • A damaged image or one the browser cannot decode.

Technical notes

  • Resizing uses the browser canvas.
  • WebP output depends on actual browser support.
